For schools and organizations

Professional Development and Training

CANDUIT Solutions offers professional development for districts, intermediate units, charter schools, agencies, and community organizations. Sessions are built on nearly thirty years inside Pennsylvania public schools, including school leadership, and on doctoral research in school discipline and student outcomes.

Training Topics

Discipline, Equity, and Student Outcomes

Staff examine how discipline decisions shape achievement, attendance, and belonging for the students most often removed from class. The session translates doctoral research on discipline and student outcomes into practices a building team can use the next morning.

Facilitating IEP Meetings Families Can Participate In

Teams learn how to structure, pace, and language an IEP meeting so parents understand every decision being made. The focus is on facilitation habits that build trust while keeping the meeting compliant and on time.

Trauma-Informed Practice in School Settings

Educators explore what trauma-informed practice looks like in real classrooms, hallways, and offices rather than in theory. The session pairs regulation strategies for students with sustainable expectations for the adults supporting them.

Family Engagement in High-Need Communities

Schools look honestly at the barriers that keep families from showing up and at the assumptions that widen the gap. Participants leave with outreach and communication approaches that fit the community they actually serve.

About the Presenter

Portrait of Dr. Bridgette Miles, founder of CANDUIT Solutions

Dr. Bridgette Miles founded CANDUIT Solutions after nearly thirty years in Pennsylvania public schools as a teacher, assistant principal, and principal in Chester County. That career included chairing hundreds of IEP meetings and leading a school community through discipline, instruction, and family engagement work at the same time.

Her doctoral research in educational leadership focused on school discipline and student outcomes, and she is a certified trauma-informed care practitioner with training in MTSS, PBIS, and restorative practices. Sessions are practical, plain-spoken, and grounded in what actually happens in buildings.
